PLAN YOUR COVERAGE
What to review for Oklahoma.
Use these questions to prepare for a conversation about the protection you need. Compare the actual policy terms, limits and deductibles before choosing.
Ask our agency for help- 01Identify the home correctly
Gather the year, manufacturer, model, size and identifying records. Explain whether it is a manufactured, mobile or modular home so the right policy type can be considered.
- 02Describe occupancy and attached features
State whether you live there year-round, use it seasonally or rent it out. Include porches, decks, additions and detached structures in the discussion.
- 03Review wind and hail terms
Ask about the applicable storm deductible, roof valuation and settlement for the dwelling. Compare the amount you could pay after a claim with the premium.
- 04Plan for belongings and flood separately
Inventory your possessions and discuss temporary living expenses after a covered loss. Ask separately about flood coverage for both the home and contents.

BEFORE YOU CHOOSE
Oklahoma
coverage questions.
Is a modular home always insured with a mobile home policy?
No. GEICO distinguishes modular homes from mobile or manufactured homes and directs modular-home owners to consider standard homeowners coverage. Confirm the home type before quoting.
Does mobile home insurance include flood damage?
Do not assume it does. GEICO identifies flood as excluded from its general mobile-home water-damage description; ask about a separate flood option.
What changes should I mention before a coverage review?
Identify additions, attached porches, roof changes, skirting and other improvements. Also explain whether you own the home, rent it to someone else or are planning a move.
How should I compare the proposed coverage?
Review the home’s insured value, claim-settlement method, deductibles and coverage for attached structures. Ask about any separate wind, hail or flood considerations for the property.
