Not necessarily. Modular homes may be insured with a standard homeowners policy. Share how the home was built so the appropriate options can be reviewed.

Does a mobile home policy cover flood damage?

A standard policy generally excludes flood damage. Ask about separate flood coverage and review how other types of water damage are treated.

Will the home be covered while it is being moved?

Do not assume so. Regular mobile home policies typically do not cover the move itself. Discuss the move and any separate arrangements before transport.
