CLASSIC & COLLECTOR VEHICLES

Classic car insurance for your collection.

Your weekend car deserves a different conversation from your daily driver. Ask Keith Roberts’s agency about classic and collector car insurance through American Modern.

A quote that starts with how you use your car

A restored classic, a muscle car and a modern collectible can have very different insurance needs. Age alone does not tell the whole story. The vehicle’s use, condition, value and storage are important parts of the conversation.

Our agency offers classic car insurance through American Modern. We can help you review whether a collector policy is appropriate and explain the available choices. Eligibility and coverage depend on underwriting, your state and the policy offered; a request does not guarantee acceptance.

Three details worth reviewing

The insured value

Ask how the policy would settle a covered total loss. An agreed value option establishes an accepted vehicle value before coverage begins. A stated value option is different, so review the actual settlement language, deductible and limits rather than relying on a label.

Driving and storage

Tell us whether you attend shows, take pleasure drives or commute in the vehicle. American Modern’s published collector guidance requires storage in a locked garage or building. We will review applicable use, mileage and storage requirements with you.

Restoration and equipment

Describe modifications, a restoration in progress, spare parts or a trailer used to transport the car. Ask which items are included, optional or excluded and whether separate limits apply. Do not assume track use or racing is covered.

Have these details ready for our conversation

  • The vehicle: year, make, model, general condition and a description of significant modifications.
  • Your use: approximate annual mileage, typical trips and whether the car is driven daily.
  • Storage: state, general storage arrangements and whether the vehicle is kept in a locked structure.
  • Value: your estimated value and whether photos, receipts or an appraisal are available for later review.
  • Timing: desired effective date and any upcoming purchase, transport or restoration milestone.

Start with a brief request or phone call. Our team will explain how to provide any application documents through the appropriate process. Please do not enter sensitive identification, payment information or full policy details in the contact form.

Collector car or everyday auto?

If this is the car you use for daily transportation, let us know before selecting collector coverage. We can discuss whether a standard auto insurance quote is the appropriate next step. If you have several vehicles, bring a list so the conversation accounts for both your collection and everyday transportation.

We assist customers in Texas, New Mexico and Oklahoma. American Modern product availability, vehicle eligibility, coverages and terms may vary by state and risk. Our agency reviews classic car requests directly; this page does not provide an instant price.

Classic car questions

Does every older car qualify?

No. A vehicle’s use, storage, condition and other underwriting details matter. Tell our agency how you actually use the car so we can review the applicable program.

Can I finish a classic car quote online here?

Start by sending a request or calling our office. Our agency will review your information and contact you about quote options or additional questions. This request does not issue a policy or start coverage.

Should I update the value after a restoration?

Tell us about major changes, improvements or a revised valuation. We can help you ask what documentation and policy changes may be needed; an increased vehicle value does not automatically change an existing insured limit.
